Petty Bulkhead

About This Project
A year and a half ago we built a beautiful kayak storage boathouse on the lake outside of Crockett, Texas. This year we got the call to install the bulkhead. It took 10 days to complete the 195 ft. bulkhead into solid iron ore ground, and we have ordered the backfill which will arrive Monday morning.
The old bulkhead was really laughable, with less than a foot of penetration, and little 15″ long chunks of 6×6 as deadman anchors. Another local contractor built it about a dozen years ago. What a crock! He cheated these poor people out of their hard earned money.
There are a few other poor quality contractors, especially around Onalaska that are just as bad working now. Unfortunately this situation makes us good contractors jobs more troublesome, because people start with distrust – and rightfully so – until they can actually see the quality difference.
I have been out of town setting up the new “Shoretech Marine North” office in Dallas while the guys have been busy working. We have two other bulkheads and a boathouse to complete up here at Houston County Lake now before this crew goes back to Lake Livingston.
We love working on this lake because it is so clean and quiet. GOOD JOB BOYS~!!!
