About This Project
A simple project that started out with a small U-Shaped timber bulkhead shoreline foundation onshore, now opens up to a new 20′ x 30′ metal roof recreational deck at the end of the point of the Cove Marina peninsula.
Where the T-Head fishing pier once was the primary structure, in its place where it ties into land is now the new pavilion. The T-Head will be refurbished in time.
The next step will be to widen the access road onto the “island” to accompany RV traffic, campers and overnight visitors of all types.
The pavilion is only the first of quite a few upgrades here. We had Ray Wilner of Ray’s Marine Construction come to drive the piles. Ray is probably the best pile-driver on Livingston now. His piledriving barge is by far the most fascinating and utilitarian of all here.
This 3 person crew consisting of Ray, his son and Ronald Jackson can easily drive 12-25 piles per day under the right conditions.
