About This Project
Back in 2009 when I still owned Waterside Construction & Design I designed one of our very nicest boathouse projects for a Lake Livingston property owner.
The two slip entertainment style boathouse project has a very nice wetbar and full entertainment system that featurs a 4 speaker stereo system and built -in 48″ LCD TV with a full kitchen setup, stainless steel countertop fish cleaning station, and tile countertop for the wetbar area.
The people just don’t care to take their boat out as much anymore! The storage room is specially designed to chimney up the lakewater cooled air on the hottest of days, by being built all the way up to the 14′ ridge of the open gable roof. This keeps the storage room cool enough to work in during even 100 degree days!
The room also keeps water toys and floats dry and does not promote mildewing like other storage rooms with a ceiling and floor do.
The clean design of the wetbar makes maintenance a simple task and entertaining almost a MUST! Watching the game or race on a weekend over the water with cocktails is a life to be envied with this facility.
The boat slips feature our invention from back in 2003 when we started doing each boat slip with safety railings at the bow, and no inside 90 degree corners to accidentally step into raise the safety aspect of a facility like this to the highest level.
The bench railings are lighted to keep the deck lit at night – also the large pedastal steps out front are lighted too! – and this makes navigating the boathouse at night an easy chore – without having overhead lights bothering your party.
