About This Project
This was a project that we completed earlier this summer using interlocking galvanized steel sheet-piling.
Then Herb Richmond told us to design and build a nice pier for his wife Dafrie who loves to fish. The new steel peninsula will eventually suffer hydraulic scour and make the water in front of it deeper, probably by several feet.
Within casting distance it is already 8-12 feet deep. But with the silty soil that resulted from 6 decades of erosion from what was there before we started and a 23′ cliff, that deeper water will eventually reach the pier. What is now 3-4 feet of water depth at the base of the wall will likely end up being 5 to 6 feet of water.
This is going to be the perfect retirement spot for their “forever” home site.
